Gloucestershire CCC off to South Africa

Gloucestershire CCC fly off to South Africa tomorrow, for a two leg Pre-Season Tour.

The first leg will be based at the HighPerformanceCentre in Pretoria - with two games against a Northerns Invitation XI and a TUT Invitational XI. They then fly down to Durban where a they have matches at the Pietermaritzburg Oval against a kwaZulu Natal Inlands XI and a 3 day match at the Chatsworth Oval against a kwaZulu Natal Invitational XI.

Middlesex CCC arrive in Mumbai

Middlesex CCC have arrived in Mumbai for their Pre-Season Tour.

The Tour consists of 3 matches, and nets - and depart on 27th March.

Cook emulates Strauss

Congratulations to Alastair Cook on his maiden century on Test debut in Nagpur.

Cooky emulates fellow WCA Alumnus Andrew Strauss, on scoring a century and a fifty on debut!

Cooky is only the fifth England cricketer to do the feat, and the 13th Test cricketer to do so.

Well done Cooky – great work!

Cook hits 2nd 50 on debut

Alastair Cook became the ninth England cricketer to score two 50s on debut, in the current match against India in Nagpur.

Other WCA Alumnus Andrew Strauss also matched the feat against New Zealand at Lords in 2004.

Cook make England debut

WCA Alumnus Alistair Cook made his England debut today against India, in Nagpur.

Alistair opened the batting with fellow Alumnus Andrew Strauss, and went on to top score so far with a well crafted 60 before being bowled by Pathan.

Congratulations on your debut Alistair.
